This article gave some insight into VR (virtual reality), Smartwatches, and muse. I have heard and seen VR devices and smartwatches. I have not heard about a muse device before this article.
VR devices would allow students to experience things in different ways. They could step back in an era in time or to a place where they would not be able to travel. These devices would be expensive to get enough for a whole class. Although a solution could be an education firm come and visit the school. This I think would be fine, but then you would need to rely on the firm and could only take advantage of the VR when the firm is able to come to the school. It was nice to read the many options google expedition has for VR devices.
I was aware of the smartwatches and the use it has in PE classes or fitness in general. It was new for me to read about "other" classes using the smartwatches for taking quick notes or listening to or using different types of apps.
In this article, what was a real eye-opener, was learning about the muse. To have a headband that tracks the brain signals of someone is truly mind-blowing to me. I admit, a little scary too. If using a muse though, the article said it could be used to see how the class or a student reacts to the learning or when they drift off. Honestly, I am not sure I would want to know when someone is daydreaming or not.
